CoEHAR and ECLAT- a spin-off of the University of Catania- is proud to announce the second edition of ISPM (International School on Project Management). Partner of this edition, the prestigious PMI-SIC, the Project Management Institute, South Italy section, a worldwide renewed association in this field.

For five days, from Monday 20th September to Saturday 25th September, in the unique atmosphere of Taormina in Sicily, thirty students from more than twenty countries will acquire advanced project management techniques with a specific focus on Tobacco Harm Reduction projects.

At the end of the course, students will develop the skills needed to coordinate research projects in the medical application of Tobacco Harm Reduction.

ISPM once again free of charge for the students who attend the event – stated the project leader Daniela Saitta will give the associates the knowledge and skills essential to managing clinical research projects in the field of Tobacco Harm Reduction. This is possible thanks to top international experts and project managers who will provide interactive and dynamic lessons“.

The 30 young people, already selected in 2020 through a public tender procedure, were chosen by the evaluation commission according to the highest scientific criteria. At the end of the course,  students will be able to develop, plan, and coordinate research projects particularly in the medical-scientific sector of Tobacco Harm Reduction.

As explained by Prof. Giovanni Li Volti, Director of CoEHAR, “Tobacco Harm Reduction is a field that hasn’t developed yet, and which represents a unique opportunity to step in the business with specific skills”.

To guarantee the best and most advanced training offer, moreover, from this year ISPM enjoys a partnership with the prestigious PMI-SIC, the Project Management Institute in the Southern Italy section, the most important association worldwide in this field.

The commission that will decide the best project will be coordinate by the president of PMI southern Italy, Paola Mosca, the Director of CoEHAR, prof. Giovanni Li Volti, and Dr. Daniela Saitta, an expert in planning and management of clinical research at the University.

We remind you that the inaugural lecture of ISPM 2020 was held online already last October- in the presence of the institutional representatives of the University- due to the restrictions driven by the COVID-19 emergency.

Only now – thanks to standardized security measures executed in Italy and Sicily- ISPM can now again welcome students from all over the world to share experiences, ideas and culture, in a mutual and continuous exchange of knowledge.
